Vauxhall enjoys the hat trick success

The Vauxhall Company took a total market share of 12.6 % according to the SMMT with the Vauxhall Corsa proving them to be the leading seller with 14,929 sales. The Astra range is the leading marketer in the lower medium level sector and also last month they sales 12,465 vehicles. It will finished top of in-segment sales in the retail sector at 15.74 % and in the fleet sector at 19.70 %.
It was one of the great months for the European Car of the Year, Vauxhall Insignia too. It also dominated the mid level sector with 18.8 % of sales and they will be the best selling passenger car in the UK. Right now it takes 31 % of its sales in the retail

Hyundai's new Sonata Blue Drive hybrid - 2010

When Hyundai's new Sonata Blue Drive hybrid arrives in the month of December, it will take two all-new technologies to the hybrid market.

Sonata Blue Drive will be the first conventional hybrid technology to use lithium-ion polymer batteries. Hyundai says that the manganese spinel electrodes in its new batteries, produced by LG Chem, decrease wear on the batteries compared with other lithium-ion batteries. They add that the lithium batteries are 30 % lighter, 40 % smaller and 10 % more efficient than nickel-metal hydride batteries. The smaller space gives the Sonata Blue Drive more in trunk space.

Next technology is Hyundai introducing in the Sonata Blue Drive is a conventional six-speed automatic transmission. The majority of the full hybrids today use an electronically controlled torque-split device to balance power from the electric motor and gasoline engine.

2011 Hyundai Sonata Turbo Pricing starts

Recall - BMW 5 Series, 6 Series, 7 Series

BMW has issued a recall of 198,000 2002-2010 V8- and V12-powered BMW 5 Series, 6 Series, 7 Series, and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars due to a leak in the power braking system.

The leak could lead to a vacuum loss and reduction of power braking assistance. However, BMW notes that mechanical braking still works to slow and stop the vehicle. No injuries have been reported.

The recall affects 2002-2008 BMW 745i/Li, 750i/Li, and 760i/Li; 2007-08 BMW Alpina B7; 2004-10 BMW 645i and 650i; 2004-10 BMW 545i and 550i and 2003-2010 Rolls Royce Phantom models.
