2012 Saab 9-4X

Saab has practically revealed the production-ready version of its upcoming 9-4X crossover, due to make its first public looks at the Los Angeles Auto Show next month. The 9-4X closely resembles to the 9-4X BioPower idea seen at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show. Developed under General Motors ownership, the 9-4X will give Saab an entrance into the growing luxury compact SUV market when it goes on sale in May, 2011.

Zipcar used by New York City Employees

The New York City has announce that a pilot course to change part of its vehicle fleet with hourly rental cars and vans that will be used by city employees.

In New York City 300 employees in Department of Transportation will share 25 vehicles provided under contract by Zipcar, a car hire company that allows hourly rentals cars and vans and has been gaining popularity with city dwellers. Workers will make their own reservations, picking up the cars and returning them to the rental location once their business is complete.

For the cars the contract calls to be used by the city employees between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. weekdays. The same cars will be useful to the public in evenings and weekends.

Car-share program could save the city more than 500,000 dollars in reduced vehicle, fuel, and maintenance costs. If the program is deemed successful, it may be expanded and used by other agencies.

2010 Luxury SUV Santa Fe

Hyundai Motor India is the second largest car manufacturer has launched its luxury SUV Santa Fe and priced of each between nearly Rs 20 - 22 lakh. Hyundai Motor India plan to sell 600 to 800 units per year.

Hyundai Motor India Director said that “Bookings will start from 18th October”. Arvind Saxena said the company aims to selling 100 to 150 units in 2010 and also he said Hyundai Motor India had no plans to produce the car in India in the coming future.

The luxury SUV Santa Fe will be available with six speed manual transmission and 2.2 L engine with an option of 2-wheel and 4-wheel drive. It has the diesel mileage of 14.66 km/L .

About Toyota Prius Plug-in
